Warning: Spoilers ahead.

A change.org petition calling on HBO to remake season eight of Game of Thrones currently has over 600,000 signatures, with a goal of 1,000,000. The petition comes after the Monday airing of ‘The Bells’, the second last episode of the series.

The petition reads:

“David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on. This series deserves a final season that makes sense.¬†Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!”

Season eight has garnered a lot of negative attention from fans due to its alleged major plot holes, lack of logical character development and, of course, the Starbucks coffee cup in the ‘Last of the Starks’ episode.¬† In ‘The Bells’, many were quick to question Daenerys Targaryen’s dramatic turn in the episode.

With only one more episode to go before the series is over forever, many fans are worried the finale won’t be the Game of Thrones send off they deserve.
